Working the herd...riding for the brand

Dusty trails, reliable horses and real cowboys. Each spring ranchers prepare their cattle to be moved to the summer range for grazing. Join us for one of the highlights of the summer, our authentic Cattle drive! After an introductory day on the ranch you will begin the round up. About 350 cows, calves and bulls are round up over three days. Together with the Cowboys of a neighboring ranch, you will help drive the large herd to the first stage, an old, historic cow camp. Here you will set up camp and enjoy the evening around the campfire under the same magnificent star-filled Chilcotin sky that cowboys have for over 100 years.

The next morning after a traditional cowboy breakfast of eggs and bacon, you will travel an elevation of approximately 1600m to the summer pasture in Big Creek Provincial Park. The riding pace on this cattle drive is moderate and manageable for even the novice rider.

The Teepee Heart cattle drive is a true adventure and experience of a lifetime...not to mention the everlasting memories of being a cowboy!

Upon returning to Teepee Heart Ranch, the traditional Roundup dinner is the perfect way to end a wonderful week of adventure on our authentic Cattle drive.
