The 15 days „Explorer Pack Trip“ is an ultimate and unique adventure
Explore the pristine wilderness areas on horseback with pack horses!

The Teepee Pack Trip as a wilderness camping pack trip might be the ultimate experience for you.
It is the seeing of a new part of the country and spectacular views of a still untouched nature.
After the first arrival day, on your second day at the Teepee Heart Ranch the horses are allocated and on
your first ride you will get to know the steadiness of our sure footed  Tennessee Walker horses and to build your
confidence in our Tennessee Walker horses.
The next day we early leave the ranch with the pack horses and, depending on the weather, crossing over the
river Big Creek is certainly the first challenge for many riders. On the forth day, we reach our base camp in the
heart of  Big Creek Provincial Park.
Overnights are in tents up in the mountains, meals are usually prepared over the campfire and everyone is part of
the team that explores the vast wilderness. You enjoy the most amount of  freedom as luggage is transported by
pack horses.
In the following days you will be taken into some of the most breathtaking backcountry.
We explore the park from here on horseback: Lorna Lake – a wonderful glacier lake and source of Big Creek;
the Dil Dil Plateau – a 2000 meter high plateau with a fantastic view; Graveyard Valley – the holy place of
the Chilcotin Indians with old Indian graves; weather allowing the Tyoax or Elbow Pass – high passes of over
2200 meters.
During a day's rest for the horses we explore on foot the nearby historic Cow Cabin of Gang Ranch, take
photos, walk on Dash Hill or simply experience each day anew. If we are lucky on this ride we'll meet moose,
mountain goats, wolves or even a black or grizzly bear. On the 8th day we leave the camp and keep on going ,
crossing the Powell oder Iron Pass (depending on the weather) to get to the „Upper Taseko, where we build
our next camp on the 9th day. During a day of rest, a waterplane will stock up our trip provisions for the next days.
A sightseeingflight over the mountains is optional at your expense). On day 11th, we will move on along the
Taseko Lake to the Beece Creek. The following day, we will get to our next basecamp on the superbly situated
mountain lake: Two Island Lake. On our next day's ride to Sherwood Lake, a fishing adventure (rainbow trouts)
is challenging us. After an early start on day 14th, we hit the trail back to Teepee Heart Ranch.
After a last night in a comfortable bed, adapting to civilization again, day 15th  is the date of departure or an option
for an individual extension of some relaxing ranchstay days.
